How does Herald fit in with task trackers like JIRA, GitHub, GitLab, Clubhouse, Linear, etc.?

Herald is not a task tracker. We prefer to leave that to better tools like JIRA, GitHub, GitLab, Clubhouse, Linear, etc. We have integrations to link Herald topics with issues on these tools. There are two benefits to using Herald alongside a task manager:

• Herald allows your design and engineering teams easy access to all relevant customer feedback. Often, design and engineering teams find that reviewing customer's own words helps them scope down the implementation and ship the feature faster by solving real customer problems vs. grander, hypothetical ones.
• Herald can be used as the landing spot for all open customer concerns. Herald topics can be "promoted" to your issue tracker only once the Product Owner (PO) determines that these concerns are worthy of being worked on. This keeps your design and engineering teams from being distracted from minor customer concerns.

<aside> 👉 If there is a customer concern that needs to be addressed by your team urgently, it maybe best to add that issue directly to your task tracker and bypass Herald. For all non-urgent customer concerns, it is best to add them to Herald before "promoting" them to a task manager.
